| Defining Custom Fields |

The JForce CRM allows for extreme flexibility through a very robust custom field system. This is not considered a vital portion for the CRM to function properly, however, it can prove to be invaluable for customizing and setting up the system to work for a specific business model. Please reference the screenshots below for details.
The first item Field Type will allow you to choose from the following options:
This gives you the opportunity to define an almost infinite number of possibilities. Once you've chosen the appropriate field type for the item you wish to create, the next step is to choose the object with which to associate the custom field.
After choosing the field type and object, you can then select the access privileges. Any item marked pubic is available to be viewed by all users, otherwise it is only viewable by users that have been granted access to the "can_see_private_objects" variable in the General System Access. A field that is marked Required will be a mandatory field on any form and will require an answer before form submission. |
