Similar to the plugin functionality, the payment gateways within JForce allow for you to implement virtually an unlimited number of payment methods on your site. Authorize.net is the standard that is shipped with the basic installation, however, the PayPal plugin is also available as a free plugin for download as well. The payment gateway system allows for a developer to create an XML file, to define the payment gateway and any relevant data that must be gathered from the system administrator.

The screenshot below outlines the fields associated with the Authorize.net payment gateway. These fields are unique to the Authorize.net plugin. Other plugins will require different custom elements.

Developers wishing to create additional plugins should review the API documentation and then submit their gateway for inclusion in the Plugin directory.
